International Bio Diversity Day is celebrated on 22nd May to promote causes for sustainable environment.CT Public School has always been a pioneer in creating awareness among masses on the environmental related issues.
With a view to generate awareness on biodiversity issues and help people understand its importance for sustainable development,CT Public School participated in,”INTERNATIONAL BIODIVERSITY DAY—PANEL DISCUSSION ON TRADITIONAL CROP VARIETIES OF PUNJAB”,organised at Science City ,Kapurthala. Various schools across the region participated in the event.The CTians of classes VI —VIII presented a play,a dramatic presentation on Biodiversity related threats and the impact of climatic changes and conservation needs. The presentation reflected school’s concern towards protecting wild life and biodiversity.
The efforts of the children were highly appreciated and applauded.
The Principal,Mr.Daljeet Singh thanked the management for being supportive in providing all sources for participating in such awareness campaigns.The Vice Principal,Ms.Sukhdeep Kaur motivated the children for their dedicated efforts towards protecting environment.Certificates were awarded to the participants for volunteering the conservation of plants and animals and generating awareness among public on the emergent need to save biodiversity.
