Jiya Wadhwa, a grade IX student of CT Public School made her Alma Mater proud by winning the Alcon Open Tennis Tournament held at Alcon Tennis Academy, Jalandhar from 26th-29th May. There were around 25 players from all over Punjab who participated in this tennis competition.
In the Under -16 girls category, Jiya bagged the winning title, defeating her opponent in a tough competition by 6-4.
Jiya is a consistent player who not only shows her prowess in games but also her studies as she is able to strike a balance between both and also excels in them.
Chairman, CT Group, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Managing Director, Mr. Manbir Singh, Principal, Mr. Daljeet Singh and Vice Principal, Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur congratulated the budding sportsperson, Jiya and her coach, Ms. Bhawna Chadha for showcasing exemplary performance in the Championship and blessed her for her future ventures.
