Teacher anciently called Guru in India, is the one who was given the priority more than the God, by the God itself as a guru/teacher is the one who makes the life of every single person. Even the God themselves has a Guru, the Brihaspati. According to the Hindu mythology parents are the given the topmost place as they are the first teacher of a child who teaches him/her and give him the learnings. Child’s own home is called the primary school. And next comes the Teacher/Guru who is the one which leads a child throughout the life
Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th of September on the birthday anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and teacher. He was the 2nd President of India. Radhakrishnan believed that the teachers should be the best minds in the country. He served as teacher at many reputed universities and colleges. That’s why in the remembrance of him the Teacher’s Day.
CT Public School holds a tradition of inculcating moral, ethical and holistic values among students, to proceed with this culture Teachers' Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm. Students of CTPS expressed their immense gratitude for their teachers with a well executed play, dance and bhangra. Students dressed up like teachers and played their role in classes to experience the efforts done by their mentors for their pupils. All the teaching faculty members were honoured for their untiring dedication for institution and students as well.

The Principal Mr. Daljeet Singh and Vice Principal Mrs.Sukhdeep Kaur recognized the hard work of all the teachers and added ,”A Teacher is the one who teaches a student the aspects of life, the discipline and moral principles of life to adhere to the rules of life. Teacher is responsible for the prosperity of a child and that’s why the place above God. So lets appreciate this life guide, though the debt of teacher and parents can’t be paid even by dedicating yourself completely to them.”
