"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
CT Public School observed World Humanitarian Day to honour all humanitarians who have worked in the promotion of the humanitarian cause, and those who have lost their lives in the cause of duty. The students were made aware about humanitarian assistance activities worldwide and the importance of international cooperation.
The children were inspired to be kind and extend warmth and love to the needy. There is dearth of kindness and benevolence in the society that it is filled with pain, hatred, loneliness and sadness but one act of kindness a day can change the total scenario and bring peace and happiness around.
The power of human empathy, leading to collective action, saves lives thus creating a better world to live in.
Priyanka and Shashank, students of XI and XII presented their thoughts on the occasion.
Mr. Daljeet Singh, Principal, CT Public School and Vice Principal Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur also asserted the importance of showing love and empathy to people.
It is very rightly quoted by Martin Luther King that, "It is love that will save our world and our civilization, love even for enemies.”
