Aryan Raj, IT student from Class XA bagged First Prize in Harvard Computer Olympiad which was organised by Harvard Foundation.Overwhelmed, the achiever and his parents heartily thanked the school administration and teaching faculty for their consistent support/guidance and unflinching faith bestowed on him.

The Principal, Mr. Daljeet Singh & Vice Principal, Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur congratulated Aryan Raj on his phenomenal achievement and wished him success in all future endeavours.

Session by Mr. Deepak Bali

Speaker focused on Religion and how it is related with human beings.He stated that Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values.

In addition to this, Speaker shared his real life experiences and interacted with teachers also.Everyone was delighted after having this learning session.

Session on Oral Hygiene by Dr. Pallavi

*Different people are involved in various profession.* And gaining knowledge from any profession is always helpful.

Dr. Pallavi has a degree as a Dentist and has shared few tips how to take care of teeth. She also shared knowledge about dental or oral health which is concerned with our teeth, gums and mouth. The goal is to prevent complications such as tooth decay (cavities) and gum disease and to maintain the overall health of the mouth.

Punjab School Zonal Tournaments

The mystery of winning as a group is the participation, coordination, and diligent work.

Punjab School Education Board organised Punjab School Zonal Tournaments 2022 for basketball, volleyball and cricket matches for both boys and girls categories, from August 22 to 29. The mega sports tournament is the first of its kind after the pandemic phase, hence, excitement was euphoric among the participating teams from schools of Jalandhar East 1 region.  It is a matter of great delight that CT Public School achieved 3rd position in U- 14 and U-19 Basketball District Level Tournament after a tough competition.

The school also hosted Volleyball , Basketball and Kho Kho tournaments for girls on 7,8 and 10 September and other tournaments for boys will be conducted on 23,24 and 26 September.
The Principal expanded grateful wishes to the team and wished them good luck for the future tournaments to come.

Grandparents Day

Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of traditions. They are the family's strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart.

The 'Grandparents Day' was celebrated in the campus with a lot of excitement and emotions. Together they made memories worth a lifetime to remember and cherish.Celebrating this day was a way of telling them how much their existence means to us and how much we value them being around the kids. The day was all about celebrating the bond of love and affection children share with their grandparents.The love and gratitude shown by the students made the grandparents smile and appreciate their efforts for making their day so special.

The Principal, Mr. Daljeet Rana and Vice Principal, Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur thanked each and every Grandparent for being awesome. They emphasized gratitude to all the grandparents for the important role they play in positive attachments and family life.

He scored 4918 rank in Punjab with score of 647 marks in the general category. The Principal ,Mr Daljeet Rana said that Ayush prove that education and learning end at resulting in excellent outcomes.

The month of September every year is celebrated as the Rashtriya Poshan Maah or the National Nutrition Month across the country. The Ministry of Rural Development (M/oRD) is leveraging this occasion to intensively disseminate key messages to all intended beneficiaries on positive nutritional behaviours and practices. Assam CM Launches Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022, Calls For Public Participation To Turn It Into Mass Movement.
CT Public School took initiative to celebrate Poshan Maah. For this teachers of science department interacted with students and explained the importance of balance diet in their life.
The Principal, Mr. Daljeet Rana , Vice -Principal Ms. Sukhdeep Kaur appreciated the efforts of HOD Science, Mr. Sanjesh and the Science Department .

Rashtriya Poshan Maah

Ministry of Women and Child Development is celebrating the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Mah 2022 from 1st September 2022 to 30th as part of Poshan Abhiyan. The main theme of Poshan Maa 2022 is “Mahila aur Swasthya” and “Bacha aur Shiksha”. Ministry of Women and Child Development is celebrating the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Mah 2022 as part of Poshan Abhiyan from 1st to 30th September 2022. The central theme of Poshan Maa 2022 is “Mahila aur Swasthya” and “Bacha aur Shiksha”. Pothan Maah is being celebrated as part of Pothan Abhiyan, the Union Government’s flagship program aimed at improving nutrition outcomes for children below the age of 6 years. , pregnant women and nursing mothers. As part of the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Mah, the Ministry plans to convert Gram Panchayats into Poshan Panchayats with a key focus on women’s health and child education.
The activities will be organized with the following key objectives:

*Spreading Awareness about Nutrition at the Grassroot level

*Conduct Sensitization Drive to make citizens aware of the importance of nutrition

*Identification and Outreach programs for pregnant and lactating women Awareness Drives, Camps, and Fairs for children below six years and adolescent girls

National School Safety Program

"The Desire for saftey stands against every Great and Noble enterprise "

National School Safety Programme (NSSP) is a 100% centrally demonstrative project. It is being implemented by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resource Development on pilot basis in 43 districts of 22 states/UTs of the country falling in seismic zone IV & V. 200 schools from each of 43 districts are targeted under this project.

A meeting was conducted with the members of National School Safety Program at CT Public School to promote a culture of safety in the school. The following members attended the meeting :-

The main objective of NSSP is to initiate policy level changes for ensuring safe school environment and to sensitize children and the school community on disaster preparedness and safety . Various ways and means to implement the program were discussed among all the members for betterment of School.

Different clubs framed for NSSP were introduced to committee members

and the purpose behind their working was illustrated.

The Committee members were urged to assist in different activities and drills to be conducted in school for sensitisation of Students about different conditions on disaster.Emphasis was laid on participation of key stakeholders in activities and drills.

The Principal, Mr Daljeet Rana and Vice Principal, Ms Sukhdeep Kaur stated that the main vision of-the activities to be conducted at school is to develop a culture of disaster preparedness in students.

The meeting was very purposeful and ended on a positive note.

 

Teacher's Day celebrations

The occasion was graced by the presence of our humdinger honorable Chairco person Mrs.Parminder kaur channi ji along with Principal sir Mr. Daljeet singh Rana Vice Principal Ms.Sukhdeep kaur .They distributed small token of love to all the staff members.The function ended with a beautiful vote of thanks given by Principal sir to all the teachers and they highly appreciated the activity incharge Ms.Bhawna arora for arranging this wonderful function so smoothly.

 

 

Teacher's Day celebrations

CT Public School students organized an event on the occasion of teacher’s day which is also known as the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event was held at the school’s assembly ground. The program started with an amazing dance performance by Haradhya kaur from 4th B class.After that our Principal, Vice-Principal and many teachers lit the Diya lamp. A female student announces all the events happening on stage one by one through a mic. A group of 8 students also performed group dance on the theme of Teacher’s Day. After that, students gave a token of love to the worthy Principal sir and Vice- Principal mam. After that our principal sir gave a passionate speech on the theme of Teacher’s Day. Some other programs were also presented by the students. On that day, senior students took on the responsibility of teaching as a gratitude to our teachers. All the teachers were given a decorated rose flower and chocolate by the students. In the end, all the students thank all the teachers for providing a great education.

Special Session on Personal Hygiene for girls

A short awareness session on the personal hygiene for girls was conducted at C T PUBLIC School by Jagnit Kaur a member of Proctor and Gamble a leading MNC company on 31 August 2022.This session aims to demonstrate the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and illustrate the importance of comprehensive cleaning to maintain a good health and a better personality in a certain society. Personal hygiene is important for many reasons, for instance, to have a better personality, a good health, for social reasons and for psychological issues. Good hygiene perpetuates a nice image of an individual in a society. Emphasizing on good personal hygiene can reduce a risk of many social, metal, and health problems. It can boost one’s confidence and reflects a positive image of that individual to others.

Students understood the importance of personal hygiene.Vice Principal Mrs .Sukhdeep Kaur appreciated the efforts of  School.

 

Brain Stroming Quiz Competition

Students were asked various questions related to their surroundings, food, school, clothing. The teams enthusiastically participated in the competition. Team Performers bagged the first position and team Achievers bagged the second position.  Consolation prize was given to team Challengers . Principal Mr. Daljit Rana and Vice Principal Mrs. Sukhdeep Kaur appreciated the efforts of the students.

CT kindergarten celebrated Yellow day

 Yellow, the colour of sunshine is hope and happiness. Stands for freshness, positivity intellect and joy.

The motive of celebrating this day was to make the kids aware of the colour yellow, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. The day began with fun filled introduction concerning the colour yellow.

Students were all dressed up in different hues and tints of yellow.

Calligraphy Activity

 Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design and execution of lettering with a pen, ink brush, or other writing instrument. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be defined as "the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner".

Virtual Session on Cyber Security

 In order to sensetitize students about Cyber Security, an interactive virtual session was conducted in our school under Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas. The students of VII were the audience for this enlightening session which was presided over by Mr. Varun from IBM Skills. As the crime related to the internet is growing day by day, Mr. Varun spoke about maintaining certain rules and regulations while using social media, like not disclosing financial and social status while making friends with anyone on social media. He also specified that morphing others photographs, sending malicious emails or mocking someone on social media are punishable crimes and the Police can actually trace the people who create fake ID’s and indulge in such crimes. Further, he warned the students to be extra vigilant while making friends on social media.
